Try a powerful journey of self-discovery. Embracing your emotions each day can be the key to easing and even preventing those waves of anxiety that crash into your soul. I encourage you to begin each morning with a moment of stillness, a heartfelt check-in with yourself, and a pause for self reflection.
Begin by taking deep, soul-nourishing breath, filling your lungs to the brim, and then let it all out slowly, as if releasing the worries of yesterday. Do this twice; feel the air caress your body.
Now, turn your attention to your shoulders. Are they hunched up, tense and high like they are trying to reach the sky? Gently drop them down, stretching your neck while releasing any pent-up tension for a precious moment of bliss.
Next, shift your awareness to your chest. Does it feel heavy, as if a weight rests upon it? Breathe into that space; let each inhale expand your heart and fill you with warmth.
Now, feel your tummy - does it quiver with unease, or flutter with nervous anticipation, a bit like butterflies? Consciously soften it, releasing any tightness, allowing it to relax and flow freely.
Move to your hips. It’s time to awaken your body! Allow yourself to jiggle a little; move your hips in a liberating circular motion, feeling the joy of movement.
Finally, direct your attention to your legs and feet. Stand on one leg and let the other dance in the air, then switch it up. Find a seat and gently roll your ankles in circles, five times for each, releasing any remaining tension.
