Aspects for Wellbeing

Lesley Foster MBACP Dip Couns

Face to Face and online appointments available

Thank you for visiting my website, you have taken the first step in finding a counsellor, this can often feel daunting, but I hope to make the next step easier for you.  I am an experienced qualified integrative counsellor, meaning I use a variety of approaches to meet your individual needs.

I offer you a safe and confidential space to explore your difficulties and find ways for you to achieve clarity, and a better understanding of self, including your thoughts, feelings, and behaviour, helping you to work towards a better way of living.

My private practice is based in Whitstable, which is easily accessible from Canterbury, Herne Bay, and Faversham, parking is available on site.   I have recently extended my hours to include evenings face to face and Saturday mornings online. This is to help those that struggle with childcare or are juggling work with finding the help that they need at this point in their life.

I am a Registered Member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists). I have regular safeguarding training, hold a current DBS and I am fully insured.

About Me

With a wealth of life experience behind me, I trained to be a counsellor. I am a warm and approachable individual who will work with you through challenging times by providing a confidential, non-judgmental, and supportive relationship, where together we can explore the issues that you are experiencing.  Having someone listen to you and sharing your journey in a safe environment can lead to lasting change. My practice is based on a person-centred approach which enables me to tailor our sessions to meet your individual needs. I work with clients experiencing all kinds of difficulties. The process that we work through together will help you make better sense of your feelings and allows you to explore ways to manage your life.

I can work with you face to face or online, please contact me to discuss what might be better for you.

Wanting to give something to the local community I worked as a volunteer counsellor in Canterbury. It is important to me that everyone has the opportunity to become the best version of themselves.

Therapy and Fees

It is important for both of us that we feel comfortable working together.  Therefore, I offer a free initial 15 minute telephone call and from this we can arrange your first session if you feel comfortable in doing so.  Each session will be for 50 minutes, and we can agree at the outset on six sessions if you so wish, or it can remain open ended, depending upon your needs.  The first full session will include the necessary paperwork and an opportunity for you to tell me a little about yourself and what has brought you to counselling.   Each session will be payable in advance by bank transfer or paid in cash on the day, I charge £50 per session payable in advance.

If you have any questions or wish to book a free consultation or your first session,  please contact me via email or send a message using the contact form. Your contact with me will remain confidential at all times. I will respond to your enquiry as quickly as I can.
